What we collect
We may collect contractor quote documents, quote text, project category, quoted amount, ZIP code, home type, historic status, project timing, materials, quantities, exclusions and other scope details. We also collect limited technical information needed to operate, secure and improve the service.
How contribution works
When you upload or contribute a quote after seeing the contribution notice, you authorize Quote Registry to privately process the submission and use validated, anonymized project and pricing facts in aggregated benchmarks. The original document is not a public record.
What we remove
Before information is eligible for public display, we remove or suppress names, exact street addresses, personal contact details, signatures, account or proposal numbers, payment credentials, access instructions and contractor contact information. We may publish a contractor business name only under a separate, clearly disclosed policy; the initial registry does not publish it.
How we use information
We use submissions to compare quotes, validate and improve local pricing benchmarks, detect duplicates or manipulation, research construction-cost patterns, maintain security and answer support requests. We do not sell identifiable quote documents or permit contractor payments to alter benchmarks.
ChatGPT plugin
If you intentionally use the Quote Registry plugin, ChatGPT may send the structured information required to perform the tool you requested. Read-only comparison does not contribute a record. Contribution occurs only when the contribution tool is invoked with your confirmation. Quote Registry does not receive unrelated ChatGPT conversations.
Retention
Private source documents may be retained for up to 24 months for verification, duplicate detection and dispute handling, then deleted or de-identified unless longer retention is required for security or law. Anonymized benchmark facts may be retained indefinitely because they form the historical registry. Support records are retained only as reasonably necessary.
Sharing and security
We use service providers necessary to host, secure and operate the product. We do not share identifiable submissions for advertising. No system is perfectly secure, but we limit access, keep source files private and minimize personal data in logs and tool responses.
Your choices
You may request access, correction or deletion of a private submission by visiting Support and providing the submission reference when available. Deletion may not remove statistics already irreversibly aggregated or de-identified.
Children and changes
Quote Registry is not directed to children under 13. We may update this policy as the service evolves and will change the effective date when we do.
